Tuesday, October 25, 2022: This morning I pulled the 10 of Swords, not a card one likes to see on a day when you’re going in for some tests. But, there’s more, a terrifying political and environmental climate with plenty to keep us up at night. This ten can be a call to do shadow work or a bugle call to press on in the face of adversity. This is not a time for defeatism. Therefore I am invoking the “Defend to the end, the worthwhile” oracle card. Wield to the storm and fly!

The Activist

Monday, October 24, 2022 — This morning I pulled the Chariot. This particular version of the Chariot is not one I resonate with. Yet it has the character I see in this card of being in alignment of mind, body and spirit and going somewhere. But, it just doesn’t have much scrap in it. Therefore I am invoking the Princess of Swords, not just any Princess, this Princess is The Activist. She’s a social justice warrior in all the best sense and she is on a mission. She knows that you can never lose if you refuse to stop fighting!

Judgement Again

Sunday, October 23, 2022: This morning I pulled the Judgment card again. Is it being judged by a culture of patriarchy that has brought all of humanity to the brink of its own destruction? Or, is it judging that culture that has embraced racism, fascism and slavery? Judging and being judged — if we are to survive as a species we have to look in the mirror and out the window at the same time. So, today, I am invoking the “Be the Hunter, Not the Hunted” oracle card.

Judgement Flipped

Saturday, October 22, 2022: Today I pulled Judgement. This is one of those cards that reeks of the patriarchy to me. The traditional view of judgment has its roots in religious orthodoxy and the patriarchy deciding your worthiness for salvation based on how well you have conformed. Well “F” that! I am flipping the narrative and flipping off the the patriarchy by offering up another perspective on judgment.

Sweet Loves

Friday, October 21, 2022: Today I pulled the Lovers. For me the line between friends and lovers has been arbitrary at times. I don’t use sex as a sorting hat, because that has failed me. I have had lovely romantic relationships that were not sexual and amazing sexual connections that were not romantic and beautiful loving relationships that were both and others that were neither. People say friends are not romantic relationships and then they say they married their best friend. I believe all relationships seek their own level and that can be constantly changing. I call those I love my loves and cherish my loves just as things are. I am invoking the “Conscious Connections” oracle card and celebrating the loves I have and have had in my life.

A Pause

Thursday, October 20, 2022: The Hermit follows the Strength card and comes before the Wheel. It’s a journey within, as all journeys are. All the Fool has learned is cause for pause in The Hermit. So we stop and ponder. The Hermit, and all the lessons before, prepares us for the Wheel, for life, I am invoking “Pandora’s Gift”. She who gives gifts that may be a double edged sword, such is self awareness. When you learn who you are that awareness cannot be unlearned. It may, at first and at times, seem like a burden, you may wish it were not so, but it truly is a gift to know. Go ahead, open the box. It is Pandora’s Gift. Knowing your truth, it's a superpower!
