Uncharted Paths

I pulled the 3 of Wands today. This speaks to me of finding a way even when a way doesn’t appear to be there. It’s stepping out and letting the universe respond. I am invoking the Fool. The Fool’s journey when love leads the way.

Love is a journey

"Most people are going to have two or three marriages or committed relationships in their adult life. Some of us will have them with the same person." - Esther Perel, LMFT

Today I pulled the Ace of Cups, this card symbolizes to me all the potential of the element of water — love and movement. Unconditional love is the grail we seek and often fail to find: to be loved unconditionally, exactly as we are and exactly as we are not. In response I am invoking The Fool in recognition that love, and the quest for love, is a journey. --

Lovers and Partners

I pulled The Lovers today. I find this card interesting. In my life I have had long term romantic relationships that were not sexual and I have had sexual relationships that were not romantic. I don’t define the term lover or the term partner to mean person I am having sex with. For me long term close friends are life partners too. So, I am invoking the Two of Cups to cherish sweet intimate loving relationships between people, no matter what label or degree of physical intimacy. -- As always when I speak of life, love and Tarot I speak only for myself. Strength and Weakness

The Emperor is the king of strategy and that’s what I pulled today. But, strategy goes nowhere without tactics to accomplish your intention. I am invoking the Queen of Swords. The Queen of Swords is the mask cutter. When she sets her mind on something she is virtually impossible to deter or to stop. That’s her strength (and her weakness.)

Ritual

Today I pulled the Hierophant. This is a card of ritual and orthodoxy. This evening is my coven’s Ostara ritual and I wonder if that’s why I pulled this card I so often struggle with. I am invoking the Ace of Wands. This is the power of fire, to burn away what I don’t need and temper my spiritual soul.

Living life

“We really did have everything, didn't we? I mean, when you think about it.”
— Mindy, final scene, "Don't Look Up"

Monday, March 14, 2022 — Sometimes I can pine wishing things were different in my life and/or relationships.  (NOTE - I use the term relationships very loosely. You probably know that.)
Then, I draw a card like the Four of Pentacles reminding me just how f'ing awesome my life is just as it is, without changing a thing.
Today I am invoking the world, this world, my world, exactly as it is and exactly as it is not. Be here now.

As easy and as hard as that

Sunday, March 13, 2022 — Sometimes things can be both easy and hard at the same time. It's as simple a don't eat or drink or smoke that and at the same time that can be amazingly hard to do too. Today I drew The Moon and am invoking the Page of Swords in recognition of that.

Journey without journey within

Saturday, March 12, 2022 — I have found that journeys are almost always both journeys within as well as journeys without. The pot of life gets stirred. Today I pulled the Two of Wands, a portal into something new. In response I am invoking The Moon. What will I find here?

Keeping my head

Friday, March 11, 2022 — This is going to be an interesting day. I am going to be a guest of people who pretty much reject everything I believe in. Yes, I guess I am the Devil to them.

Making your plans

Sunday, March 6, 2022 — Today I pulled the Emperor. This is a card of benevolence, power, leadership and authority. In this time of war and fear we need this so bad. One mistake can lead to armageddon. I am invoking the Ace of Swords. May everybody keep their heads.

The Circle of Life

“There’s always a sunrise and always a sunset and it’s up to you to choose to be there for it,’ said my mother. 'Put yourself in the way of beauty.”
― Cheryl Strayed, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail

Thursday, March 3, 2022 — I pulled this ten today. In the realm of water, love and circulation, this card speaks to me of completion and appreciating what you have. That is beauty and grace, to be there for your life, exactly as it is and exactly as it is not.
I am invoking The World. This is the last card of the Major Arcana and signifies the completion of The Fool's Journey.
Each completion is a beginning too. Whether it's the ending of a phase of life, or the start of a new one, to end is to begin.

Happy Life!

Wednesday, March 2, 2022 — Yesterday I spoke of the sacred three, being in alignment with our natures, free of shame. Life is a craft. We make it (or let it make us.) On this day I pulled the Three of Pentacles and am invoking the Sun, making my life and loving it!

The Sacred Three

Tuesday, March 1, 2022 — Being in alignment with your nature as a human animal, your nature as a thinking and speaking person and your spiritual connection with your fellow humans and/or however deity manifests in your life. That's how I interpret The Chariot. With that awareness I invoke the Three of Cups, in alignment in love, self love and the love of others as that manifests in you and I.

The Devil You Know...

Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 — Addiction, compulsion, insecurity and fear. What keeps us in places that are not good places for us? I pulled The Devil. In response I am invoking the Queen of Swords. She is the mask cutter. This Queen can see past the facade and cut through BS.
